    I think the bridge was a waste of time and effort, Sydney could of used their money more wisely back then instead of wasting it on something . The government could of funded a lot of things.

    This photo clearly shows why, at almost 50 metres wide, it was - and, I believe, still is - the widest long-span bridge in the world.
